First cryptocurrency real estate transaction was successfully conducted in Ukraine
A transatlantic cryptocurrency real estate transaction was conducted for the first time in Ukraine. It was reported by an Adviser to the Head of the Agency of Electronic Government of Ukraine Konstantin Yarmolenko on Facebook.
The blockchain real estate marketplace Propy became the transaction platform for the deal. Object of the transaction was an apartment in Kyiv. The owner of the place was in the USA, the buyer is also a resident of the United States of America. The value of the deal is not disclosed, but it was concluded using the smart contract of blockchain Ethereum.
Payment was made after a digital signature was applied by a notary in Kiev on the Propy platform. There were representatives of the buyer at that time. Information on the contract is recorded in the blockchain.
"It will be soon possible to buy real estate anywhere in the world thanks to cryptocurrencies and blockchain. All data will be recorded in the blockchain and no one will be able to change it. Your property rights will be reliably protected," Konstantin Yarmolenko comments.
