A new record was set on the Ukrainian ICO arena: an AI model raised $50 m within 8 hours
A record in ICO crowdfunding among the Ukrainian companies was set: an AI startup Neuromation doubled the result of the previous champion of Ukraine DMarket that managed to draw $25 m.
Neuromation is a project of a distributed synthetic data platform. According to the developers, it would allow to create an artificial environment for the neural networks deep learning. In the future, it would enable the application of the designed models to test and improve the ready-made algorithms.
The crowdsale was launched on January 7, and should have lasted for 39 days till February 19. However, 53 of 60 m tokens had been realized before the public token sale (during the pre-sale). Other 7 m was sold within 8 hours. Investors from 89 countries took part in the crowdsale. By the way, Japanese users bought the biggest amount of tokens.
In his interview, startup CEO Ukrainian-born Maxim Prasolov told that the Neuromation team’s ambition is the creation of ‘the most economical supercomputer across the globe’ for its researches.
He also added that the foremost advantage of this project is people, namely talented engineers and true scientists inspired by one idea: to democratize artificial intelligence and make it available to all the interested.
