Transport and infrastructure industry is actively deploying blockchain. For instance, Singapore Airlines has announced the creation of a blockchain wallet for loyal customers, and Air France is testing blockchain in maintenance and repair systems of planes. Large US logistics companies are not lagging behind: FedEx is testing blockchain to store data required for dispute resolution, and UPS plans to track the supply chain using blockchain.

At Blockchain & Bitcoin Conference Kyiv, the Mister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan will tell which views the Ministry has on blockchain.

 

The topic of the minister’s presentation is “Piloting projects on integrating blockchain technology into the Ukrainian infrastructure sector”.

 

Volodymyr Omelyan started his career in governmental bodies of Ukraine in 2000, working as a specialist for Euro-Atlantic integration in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He gained experience in diplomacy representing Ukraine in Vienna and working in the planning group of the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Later, he worked in foster services of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Environmental Protection of Ukraine. Since March of 2014, he has been the Head of Service of the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. In April of 2016, he was appointed the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
